‘Another Day’ Animation

In 2023 I was awarded the Adam Reynolds award, a bursary and and creative development opportunity for mid career artists.  Over the course of the year I worked closely with shapearts and hot knife digital media. This is a digital animation that brings bold cardboard sculptural practise to life through narrative storytelling. An exploration of the world of hand modelled craft and sculpture through digital animation, the film shines a light on the transformative nature of creativity through the eyes of disabled man living at the edges of a world which threatens to entirely pass him by.

The animation was premiered nationally online to mark international day of disabled people 2024. #DisabilityHistoryMonth 2024

It has also featured locally at ‘Two short nights’ animation festival at Phoenix Arts Centre, Exeter.
